KaNsAs

Josh and I have been wanting to get back to Kansas for a visit since we left last May. (Hard to believe that was almost a year ago!) We went last month and it was so great to see everyone- The Walkers, Andersons and Hardys (My Fam). When we were living there we got to see my family all the time. We especially loved getting to spend time with my cousins' cute kids! It was a fun trip, but went WAY too fast. We will have to visit again soon!! Miss you all in Kansas!

Feeding Walker breakfast. Makes me so excited for our little guy to come!

20 WEEKS!!!

Hard to believe that we can start to count the weeks down! I am half way in my pregnancy. The time really has gone by very quick. We had our 20 week ultrasound on Friday April 1st. All is healthy and well with our baby boy!! We found out a few weeks early what the sex was, but it was confirmed- "this baby is for sure a boy." We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be parents and start our little family. We are grateful for all the support we have with our friends and family as well.

Overall I have been feeling pretty good. Although there are times when I am still pretty nauseous, I cannot complain cause I have only thrown up a couple times. Seems as if I am always tired, but for sure have more energy than I did the first trimester. I am grateful that I am still able to work out regularly and continue my job during my pregnancy. Most of all I am grateful for a husband who could not be more supportive or more patient with me!

Well....

IT'S

A

BOY!!!

Well, we caved and decided way last minute that we would go down to Salt Lake to Fetal Foto, and find out a little early what the bayba was... boy or girl? You can never have enough time to be prepared right? So this just gives us a few extra weeks of preparation before our sweet baby boy comes into our lives.

Josh has been referring to the baby as a boy all along and I have been pretty neutral. Although, we have both been calling the baby "Marshall" from day one (no we would never consider naming him that, but it's funny to have an amusing name while we wait). So now instead of Josh having to worry about me accessorizing a baby girl in ruffles, bows, and fancy shoes...I have to worry about him spending money on tiny Jordans, anything Nike, and mini Josh outfits. We are so excited to be parents and feel so blessed at this time in our lives!

After we found out it was a boy, we did a little shopping. Josh made the comment, "Shopping for baby clothes is way better than shopping for other stuff." Glad he enjoys it as much (maybe more) than me... this could be dangerous!

SuRpRiSe!!!

We first told my family that we were expecting a couple weeks ago when we were in Boise...We went to dinner with just my Gramps and Grams Richards, Blake and Jess and my parents. Josh had a great idea to go get cupcakes and take them to the restaurant early. The waiter brought them out after our meal. Well, everyone was nothing short of speechless, shocked and in disbelief. My mom was looking around to see if someone she knew a the restaurant was playing a trick on her. They were all SO excited!!

We waited for the next day at Dinner to tell the boys. My mom saved the cupcake toppers and put them on their plates. They were CLUELESS!!! Corbin thought the binky on his plate was a message from my dad calling him a "baby." I had gone to Candice's baby shower earlier that day as well, so I guess they just thought we came home with some souvenirs from the event!? I had to post their reaction!

(you can pause the music at the bottom of the blog...)

After we told my family, we decided to wait almost 2 weeks to tell Josh's fam on his dad's birthday (yesterday). So that meant the Richards had to keep quiet for a bit! I do not know if that was harder for us or my mom. : ) Josh helped his mom compile a book of photos and letters for Jeff's 50th birthday. In the book was the picture of the ultrasound next to Cam and Tai's ultrasound. Cam and Tai announced they were due in June at Christmas, right after we found out. We have been so excited to announce there will be little Brown Cousins so close together!

We feel so blessed to be expecting a new addition into our family. As my brothers said "It's about time, it's been four years..." We will keep you all posted. We will find out the sex of the baby on April Fool's Day. NO JOKE!

Christmas!

A Very Merry Christmas!

(Our tree this year!)

Well, it has been a little while since I have had time to post. Work has been really busy, and I have a feeling it is only going to continue that way. So I will try to do better about finding a spare minute to post more frequently. I cannot believe Christmas is over and as of last night so is 2010! Time goes way too fast!

This year for Christmas we were in Boise! Hayden is still in Guatemala on his mission, and we got to talk to him Christmas afternoon. He is doing great! Blake and his wife Jess were in Boise as well, and it was a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas Eve we had our annual Christmas Party with the Bolinders at "The Barn" in Hidden Springs, thanks Grandpa and Sharon for all your hard work to make it so fun!

Jess (Blake's Wife), Clay, Uncle Eric- being himself!, Josh and Blake

Brog VERY focussed on the White Elephant Gift Exchange!

Corby Joe with the happy couple! ( Jess is VERY happy, because Blake surprised her with a new dog at the Christmas party!)

This pic is from Christmas Morning...On Christmas Eve after Brog went to bed we all re-did his room in to a BSU football shrine- BLUE AND ORANGE everywhere! This was all Clay's idea, by the way!! Brog was so exited, he is trying to catch his breath after the shock of his new room!

Sunday morning we had our annual Christmas get together with most of the girls; we missed Candice, Kelsey and Tara! It was great to catch up with everyone who could be there. Love you girls!!!
