Congrats Grad!

Josh graduated from USU on Saturday! No more long nights at the library and group projects... Josh was excited to say he would never have to take another test at Utah State or another class at Utah State or go to the library at Utah State....I could keep going ; ) He was just happy to be done and I don't blame him. We had a fun weekend with family and friends thanks to everyone's support!

"Is this Hayden in a one peice?"

When I was at my aunt's this weekend I found this picture of my mom. The resemblance her and Hayden share is crazy! Not that you look like a boy mom, or that you look like a girl Hayden...But my cousin saw the picture and exclaimed. "Is this Hayden in a one piece?!"

Weekend in Kansas

My Cousin Kenzi's adorable boys- Tyler and Gavin

I had my first view of Kansas- the place we will soon be calling home....at least for a while. Josh was not able to go unfortunately because of school. Luckily my aunt and cousins live in the area so they helped out a ton. I had to go for an orientation for my grad school program. While I was there I also interviewed for an internship, looked for an apartment, and saw lots of flat land. I have to be honest, having NO mountains was really weird. We are excited to start this new adventure in a new place together. I realized while I was there its going to be hard to be further away from our families. Although, I know it will be a great experience for Josh and I to go through together. I am just glad I have such a positive, optimistic, supportive, and loving husband to share the adventure with!

ZiOnS

Well I have lived in Utah for over 4 years now and I finally made it to Zions! I actually went for work. We took the girls on a trip and it was a fun and exhausting experience. We hiked and explored...but with 46 girls its always interesting. If any of you have the chance to go- do it! It is a beautiful place.

Spring Break in Oceanside!

We had such a great time with Josh's family over Spring Break. We were in Oceanside for a week and it was so much fun! We went to the San Diego Zoo, which I had not been to since I was very little. We also went to Universal Studios-had never been there. We also spent time at the beach our condo was on. We saw the beautiful temple there in San Diego. It was great getting a little break from the cold weather and enjoying the sun. It was not quite as warm as when we went last year, but it sure was better than witnessing the 2 feet of snow Logan got when we were gone. I feel so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family. We all have fun when we are together and get along really well. Thanks so much Jeff and Cheryl- we love you.

AND THE DECISION IS...

After about a month of weighing out the two options- University of Pittsburgh or University of Kansas, we have come to our decision. It is funny how things work out. About a week ago we were about 90% sure on Pittsburgh- then one night after Josh was doing some more research he said, " I just feel like we should go to Kansas...then I can become a storm chaser." I was very surprised by this statement because Josh was secretly rooting for Pitt all along. So KU it is!(Okay, I lied about the storm chaser part...but just picture it for a second! ha ha)

I will be starting my MSW ( Masters of Social Work) the first week of June. The program is a year so I will finish June 2010 and Josh plans to do his MBA fall 2010. It is a little bittersweet...it will be hard to be further from our families, and leave our little life in Logan, but we know it will be a great experience for us. Thanks again for all of the support we have gotten in making our decision especially from our families.
