Happy Father's Day!!

Just wanted to wish the two best dads (Tim and Jeff) a Happy Fathers Day from far away Kansas! We wish we could be with you. We are very grateful for all you both do for Josh and I.

You have always been there for me dad, and I can't thank you enough for that. You're the best gleeker, you could be compatible with Chef Emeril, and your jokes are pretty dang sweet!

Jeff, I know how much Josh looks up to you for being such a great father. I appreciate your example as well, and for always making me feel a part of the family!

We hope your day is full of joy and love. We will be thinking of you! Thanks again! We love you! XoXo

YOU CALL THIS A CONE?

Josh was at the store the other day and I asked him to pick up some ice cream cones...Well when I went to open the box we had a pretty good laugh. The smallest cones we had EVER seen is what he purchased! We just could not stop laughing at the size of these dinky things! Yes they do say "KIDS CONES," but to his defense... ALL cones are really for kids right? The box says in very small print "actual size," well they were not kidding!

Artists For a Day...

Josh and I have some wall space we need to fill in our new Kansas apartment...but not a lot of extra money. So Josh came up with this brilliant idea to make our own art. Since we are far from artists he said, "We can just do it abstract." I had a little melt down at Micheal's saying it was going to look stupid and waste our money. Josh, always being the sensible one, convinced me it would look great. He just really wanted to paint secretly because he kept saying how fun it would be. They turned out pretty good. An afternoon of fun and two new paintings for under 20 bucks! You can tell us what you think, be honest!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy TIM DAWG!

This is why I love my dad so much!! He is always a goof...either cracking jokes, teasing, gleeking, or just being a dork (case in point in picture above). It is basically impossible to be upset around my dad- even when you are mad he will find a way to make me smile...ALWAYS. He has taught our family to have a great sense of humor...
My dad is one of the most genuine people I know. He works hard in all that he does, setting a great example to those who get to be around him. Thanks for all you do!
It's hard to be around my dad and not be happy! Hope yo have a wonderful day Dad, I love you!

I Loved My Job!

One of the hardest things about leaving Logan, was leaving my job. It was by far the most rewarding job I have ever had. I loved working with the girls at the residential treatment center on a daily basis. Even thought there were days I wanted to pull my hair out, I LOVED it. The work I was doing motivated me to get my Masters degree. I always said I would get my Masters, but in the back of my mind I did not really want to until I had the experiences at my last job.

Not only did I love doing what I did, but I worked with some great people who will be life-long friends. I miss you guys already!!

Some of my besties I worked with...

I got to go on one last trip to Yellowstone with the girls before I left, which was great. We did lots of hiking in the beautiful mountains (miss those), see lots of buffalo and Old Faithful. It was a great way to finish up work.

Goodbye Utah, Hello Kansas

Things have been crazy with finishing up work, packing, and getting to Kansas...I have hardly had time t0 think let alone BLOG....

We have made it safely to Kansas. We arrived here on Saturday and only had one minor accident...
Yes that is Josh's car...and the damage is bumper to bumper...Blake hit a guard rale when in route to Kansas. MiddleOfNowhere, WY. It stinks, but at least nobody was hurt. One day I am sure we will laugh abut it...one day. Thank goodness for insurance!!

So Blake (my brother) and Jordan (Josh's brother) helped us get to Kansas. It was nice having some company and it made moving in and out very quick.

Since they helped us, we made a little time to play before they headed home. We went to the royals game vs. the White Sox. It's going to be fun living in a city with some professional sports teams! I know Josh will LOVE it.

Since we have been here we have mostly been getting settled from the move. Josh has had some interviews for potential jobs, so we feel very blessed for that. I have been attempting to get some reading done for school-there is a ton! I start on Monday. I am feeling a bit anxious and have the first day of school jitters. Yuck. Just gotta get throught that first day and it always feels better. It is still crazy how fast this move came, Josh and I feel like we are on a vacation in Kansas...

We want to thank everyone who helped us before and durring the move! It is much appreciated!!
